The best limeade I have ever had is limeade slush but its a secret recipe. Ok not so much a secret as I just don't have it with me. Sorry!
This recipe from William Sonoma will have to do.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice (from 12 to 15 limes)
6 to 8 Tbs. superfine sugar
4 1/2 cups cold water
18 fresh mint sprigs
Ice cubes
Directions:
In a large pitcher, combine the lime juice and 6 Tbs. sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Stir in the water. In a mortar using a pestle, crush the mint sprigs, then stir into the limeade. Taste and add the remaining 2 Tbs. sugar if desired. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled. Serve over ice. Serves 6.
That looks really good.. I'm definetely going to try it out on the next warm day here in SF (which will be around October)!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I ever craved my whole pregnancy was Limeade. I had never been a huge fan before, but I just couldn't get enough! I'm super jealous you have a top secret recipe since I spent way too much $ going to Arctic Circle everyday to buy their huge Lime Squeeze!
ReplyDeletep.s. Give us a belly shot!
