hi DeeDee... I have a MacBook Pro. It is my lifeline. Before it, I had the old iBook... it lasted just over three years, but I carried it with me everyday to grad school courses, library, etc, so it was probably a little beat-up. I do weekly back-ups to an external drive just in case. My husband used to have a Toshiba and it conked out after about two years.
Go with Apple. I am biased, but there is a reason. They are user friendly, reliable and you don't need antivirus or anything like that. You buy the computer (and any extra programs you want), and that's it. No messing around with virus problems or renewing software or any of that garbage. We have had ours for 2 years, and not one complaint.
i love our macbook pro because it has an SD card, longer battery life than the macbook, and a few other little pros about it. Plus there is someone in our ward than can hook you up! Best purchase we ever made!
Deeds - We bought a new laptop in December. I didn't want to shell out the thousand bones for a mac, so I looked into the windows based laptops. Without fail, everyone I talked to at stores, said that ASUS is the way to go. The only computer system that has fewer problems is Apple. So we went with ASUS - spent about $500 or so
macbook, all the way. i've used a pc my whole life but my husband (an avid apple fan) recently got a new macbook pro & gave me his macbook. i don't think i'll ever switch back to pc again... everything looks so much better on a mac screen!
I have the white MacBook (the one on your picture) and I wouldn't trade it for anything. (Well, maybe one day for a new MacBook - but nothing else =)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a laptop, but I absolutely love my Mac. So my vote would be the MacBook.
