Shirley J Review and Giveaway

A few weeks ago Shirley J sent me some of their new Universal Dessert Creme to try out along with the Universal Biscuit & Baking Mix.

The Universal Dessert Creme is an easy, just add water creme sauce. It's sweet and creamy on it's own but you can change the flavor by adding chocolate, vanilla, lime, etc. It can be used as a filling for pies, cake, pastries and much more. It's easy to make and can be adapt to work with most recipes.

I decided to try out the Shirley J 4-layer dessert from their cook book.
I couldn't believe how easy it was to make! Even the crust I whipped up in a few short minutes.

The crust is made by combing the Universal Biscuit & Baking Mix with butter and pressing into a pan. It doesn't get much easier than that.  I love that this mix can make anything from biscuits to pastries.
