For today's Terrific Tuesdays I want to share my list of 75 things to do with your kids this summer.
- Run through the sprinklers
- Have a picnic in the park (if you are from Salt Lake check out this list of parks)
- Outdoor movie nights. If you don’t have a free movie night in your area, make your own.
- Make giant bubbles
- Go on a hike
- Create your own treasure hunt
- Take a tour. We have a few fun free tours here in SLC like Mrs. Fields Tour and Sweet's Candy Factory Tour.
- Play bigger or better in your neighborhood
- Have a side walk chalk contest. Recruit friends and neighbors to compete.
- Slip and slide
- Head to the library. Not only can you get some great books but they also have some fun activities but they also have story time.
- Go fly a kite
- Tour the fire department
- Play with animals at your local pound. Some have programs where you can come and walk the dogs.
- Make your own play dough.
- Go camping (even if it's in the backyard)
- Build a float for the 4th of July. If you don't have a 4th of July parade near you make one with the kids on your street.
- Go roller skating or rollerblading
- Go for a bike ride
- Teach your kids the constellations
- Collect bugs
- Create your own play or puppet show
- Gather the kids on your street and play kick the can
- Have an eating contest
- Collect and press flowers
- Create your own garden
- Learn a dance
- Make a lemonade stand
- Tie Dye some t shirts
- Paint rocks
- Make ice cream in a bag
- Build a hut or tree house
- Go to the local farmer's market. Can you say samples?
- Make your own Popsicles
- Start a journal
- Write a pen pal
- Make a family tree
- Have a pillow fight
- Wake up early to watch the sunrise
- Go on a hike
- Have a bubblegum blowing contest
- Make your own paper bag puppets
- Change your voicemail recording...make it fun
- Start a kickball game
- Feed the ducks
- Have a toy sale. Encourage your kids to clean out their old toys and games. Let them sell what they don't need anymore.
- Play Chinese jump rope
- Do some face painting
- Make potato stamps
- Frost and decorate cookies
- Have a themed movie night
- Go on a train ride
- Teach your kids how to budget
- Visit a local farm
- Make paper Father's Day ties
- Go fishing
- Have a water party
- Take a walking tour of your town
- Attend free concerts in the park
- Play night games
- Create a neighborhood Olympics
- Do some tumbling
- Make and decorate paper mache masks
- Learn to skip rocks
- Make S'Mores
- Play tennis
- Build little boats to race down the gutter when it rains
- Head to the swimming pool
- Visit a splash park
- Have a car wash and earn a little money
- Go on a nature walk
- Cook in the dutch oven for dinner
- Have a craft day
- Visit the zoo
- Finger paint. Use pudding if your kids are small.
